TUITION
Tuition is based on 35 total weeks of dance which includes the Staging Rehearsal and Dress Rehearsal in May.  Nine monthly payments are made, September through May.  December will only be charged for three weeks.  An appropriate tuition credit will show on your November statement.

Monthly tuition is due the first week of each month, payable at the studio or by mail.  After the 10th of each month, tuition is considered late and a $4.00 late fee will be assessed.  Each family will be able to waive the late fee one time during the year.  If the student does not attend class the first week of the month, please mail tuition to the studio before the 10th to avoid a late fee.  Late notices will be mailed to your home on the 15th of the month if tuition is not current.

Payments made at the studio can be given to the office staff or put in the tuition basket in the reception area.  Please do no pay cash unless you get a receipt.  Your instructor (between classes) or the office staff can write one for you.

There is a $25.00 charge on all returned checks.

All tuition and late fees must be current for costumes to be ordered or distributed, recital tickets, pictures or videos to be distributed, etc…

Tuition statements will be issued at the end of November and end of April.  All fees, payments, and fundraising credits will be listed.

Students must pay the full tuition amount, regardless of attendance.  Class sizes are limited; each student’s space must be paid for, even if the student does not attend.  Missed classes can be made up in other sections within a month of the absence.  Excessive absenteeism may result in the student’s removal from class.

All account inquiries should be addressed to Teresa or the office staff.  The other instructors do not have account information.

FILE FOLDERS
Each family has a folder in the file cabinet in the reception area.  All notes, statements, calendars and other materials will be placed here.  Please check them weekly!  Master copies of new notes will be posted on the bulletin board in the reception area.

VIEWING CLASSES
There is a curtained window in the door to each studio through which parents can observe their student in class.  The curtain is in place to keep the students from being distracted by the observer.  Please be courteous and allow everyone a chance to view during the class period.  We have a scheduled observation night in December when family and friends can come into the studio and observe class.

RECITAL
Students have the opportunity to demonstrate the skills they have learned during the year through participation in the spring recital.  Most classes will participate in two dances.  We have two shows, with younger students participating in one of the two shows, and older, advanced dancers participating in both shows.

COSTUMES
Students will purchase one recital costume per class.  Cost estimates for this season are $50.00 - $70.00.  These costs do not include tights, dance shoes or other accessories.

Costume payments are due by December 8th, 2011.  In order to receive costumes in a timely fashion and at a reasonable price, they must be ordered early.  After December 8th, a late fee of $5.00 per costume will be added, in addition to extra shipping charges incurred for placing separate orders.

FUNDRAISING (optional)
There are two excellent fundraising opportunities in the fall.  Money raised goes into each family’s account and is applied to costume and tuition fees.  These fundraisers are for the students, not the studio, and are a great way to cover the costume and tuition fees due in December.  Some students cover their fees for the entire year through fundraising!  There are no cash refunds for funds earned.

PRIVATE AND SEMI-PRIVATE CLASSES
Private classes are $20.00 per ½ hour.  Semi-private classes are $40.00 per hour, divided between two or three students.  They can be scheduled on a regular basis based upon instructor/studio availability, or as needed if a student is interested in extra work in a particular area.
